Apples sudden pivot to be more accessible to more markets is confounded by the slow number of sales globally of smartphones with users keeping their phones for longer periods of time than in previous years as any device after 2017 is powerful enough to run for a number of years after purchase. The high premiums of modern day flagships has not helped the situation either with phones not exceeding the 1000 dollar barrier.
