Samsung this year has embarked on a mission to bring their S line of smartphones to the forefront of smartphones technology which is something they tend to do every year but this year that mission has become somewhat of an obsession as they introduced the S20 line of phones which are spec heavy.

The new S line of flagship smartphones will see three models being offered to consumers by Samsung mainly being the S20, the S20+ and the S20 Ultra.

The focus this year was clearly to provide a good upgrade in the battery and camera department as all this year's models have beefed up the Battery to above 4000 Mah with the Ultra model coming in at 5000Mah. Which should be sufficient but considering that these devices will feature more than 6.2 to 6.9 inches of screen real estate and quad HD technology. The screens on the devices are able to go up to 120 hertz capped at 1080p.

As for the camera the s20 features a 12MP main camera and a 64MP telephoto camera and a 12MP ultra wide camera whereas the S20+ will feature the same camera feature as the normal S20 plus a Time of flight Camera lens that should help with augmented reality and portrait mode photography. The S20 Ultra will however feature a 108MP main camera, 48MP Telephoto lens and a 12MP Ultra wide with an additional Time of Flight lens.

As for more detailed specs the models will come with the latest Snapdragon processor namely the 865 which means there will be 5G support and 12 gigs of RAM across all devices and the Ultra can go up to 16 gigs of Ram. Users will have 128gigs available to them on the S20 and up to 512gigs on the S20+ and S20 Ultra and all models have support for micro SD expansion up to a terabyte. This spec list include onscreen fingerprint scanner, facial recognition and 10MP front facing camera on the S20 and S20+ and a 40MP selfie lens on the S20 Ultra.

So based on this the years S line up could be hard to beat in terms of competitors and even Apple should have a hard time but that remains to be seen. One thing is for sure Samsung is innovating by pushing the envelope to this degree and this should trickle down to consumers regardless of the smartphone brands they choose to buy in years to come.
